In the grand scale of things, the Internet has not actually been around all that long but has advanced very quickly, and our inception into the world wide web started back in 1997, in the good old days of building websites from our bedrooms and hosting everything on a single server. A lot has changed since then and technology has moved on in leaps and bounds, with servers becoming hundreds of times more powerful and cloud hosting and visualization being the new paradigm that everyone wants, even if they don’t really know what it means.
There are now thousands of providers out there, all seemingly offering the same service to the uninitiated, and after many years providing web development and hosting services we have learnt that the average customer does not really know what they need or the difference between one provider and another or the services they offer, and without digging deep and asking lots of questions, it is hard even for the initiated.
It quickly becomes a game of chance trying to choose a provider that will not let you down, more so if you believe the less than honest host review sites who make their money from the hosts they promote paying for (faked) high ratings, or simply choosing whomever comes top on Google search. When you get it wrong, it can cost you a lot of time and money in lost revenue or worse it can affect your business reputation, and trying to move from one provider to another can be another exasperating challenge.
After many years in the business of providing these services ourselves, we decided that trying to compete in such a saturated market against thousands of other hosting providers has become much of a fruitless exercise with not much in return, and frankly it isn’t much fun either, so we decided to go down a different road and focus our efforts instead on partnering with best providers we know and providing managed solutions via those providers.
One advantage we have after being in the business for so many years is that we already know many of the good and bad providers and know where to look for further information, what questions to ask etc, and as such we know which ones to avoid and so we can source the best and most reliable providers and solutions on behalf of customers, assessing their true requirements based on their business needs and budget and providing a fully managed service and single point of contact for all their services.
Because we are not spending our time managing our own infrastructure, this means we are able to dedicate 100% of our time to customer service, making sure your needs are met, harassing your providers on your behalf if things break, maintaining backups of your data in case of emergency and dealing with all the confusing technology and jargon on your behalf.
